The still photos of this acrobatic hamster detail how careful the Brelands were in filming the behavior of animals in order to improve the quality of the ABE exhibits.

While such behaviors are interesting in retrospect, animal shows with small animals did not have the degree of popular pull as did exhibits involving larger animals like chickens, ducks, cats, dogs, and cows.  And so, ABE never developed many acts with small animals like hamsters.
