In the early
years of ABE, the Brelands experimented with the training of smaller
animals such as birds and rodents. However, their focus changed to
larger animals in later years, as they expanded the number of species with
which they worked. Even so, bird acts
like these continued to draw crowds at the IQ-Zoo, Animal Wonderland and
internationally. In the 1950s. Keller and Marian Breland were
responsible for developing the "acts" that the trained birds on these
pages are doing. |
