“Frances and Her Rabbit” was a long-running educational feature designed to help teach children the names of colors in other languages.

The rabbit was trained to find a certain color for Frances. (The rabbit had actually been trained to discriminate the crayons on the basis of scent, an olfactory discrimination).  In the film, Frances would ask the rabbit to hand her crayons of different colors.

This educational video saw continued use through the 70s and 80s in classrooms across the country, and it was translated into other languages for use across the world.
